PETALING JAYA: A 30-year-old security guard was stabbed to death in a flat at Kampung Abdullah Hukum on Tuesday.
Brickfields district deputy police chief Supt Aida Abdul Hamid said the body was discovered face down in the hall.
"We received a report at about 10am of the incident.
"Upon inspecting the crime scene, we found that there was blood on the bed and wall of the bedroom.
"The victim was stabbed by his assailant whom we believed to be one of his housemates.
"The suspect also works as a guard," she said. The 34-year-old also tested positive for meth.
Supt Aida said police are investigating the motive. A knife and hammer were seized at the location.
According to Supt Aida, there was a witness. "He was sleeping in one of the rooms when the incident occurred. The noise woke him up," she said.
The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
