Nigerian drug ring busted, RM2.18m worth of syabu seized


KUALA LUMPUR: Police have crippled a Nigerian drug syndicate and seized RM2.18mil worth of syabu with the arrest of six Africans and a local nurse, who is said to be dating one of the suspects, in five separate raids on Saturday.

Federal Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department director Comm Datuk Noor Ra­-shid Ibrahim said the suspects, aged between 23 and 39, were picked up in Cyberjaya, Selayang, Bandar Sri Petaling, Bandar Sri Subang and Damansara, following at least five months of surveillance by the Special Tactical Intelligence Narcotics Group (STING).
