Utusan seeks to recuse Judicial Commissioner from hearing Anwar’s RM100mil defamation suit


KUALA LUMPUR: Utusan Melayu (Malaysia) Berhad has applied to recuse the Judicial Commissioner (JC) from hearing Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's RM100mil defamation suit against the publisher.

Utusan's counsel Datuk Firoz Hussein Ahmad Jamaluddin submitted that JC Rosilah Yop's recent verdict in favour of Anwar predisposes a finding of fact that the opposition leader has a good reputation.
