Van driven into monsoon drain

PETALING JAYA: A woman was rescued by passers-by when she accidentally drove a school van into a monsoon drain along Jalan Abdul Aziz in Kajang.

A posting on the Kajang Fire and Rescue Department Facebook page said the department received a call about a van that had plunged into a monsoon drain at 1.36pm yesterday.

The statement said that the victim was already rescued by passers-by when their personnel arrived at the scene.

The driver accidentally drove the van into the drain, where it turned turtle. she had changed the wrong gear when starting the van which was parked beside the drain.
