KUALA LUMPUR: The recidivism (habitual relapse into crime) rate among former prison inmates is declining with time, said Home Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi in urging society to give former prisoners a chance to start afresh.
“The recidivism rate was 7.6% last year. The number of former inmates returning to crime is getting lesser.
