Student claims trial to offering bribe to cops


KUALA LUMPUR: A private college student pleaded not guilty in the Sessions Court on Tuesday to offering a bribe on two occasions to a police officer over an alleged drug offence.

R. Suren, 28, had been charged with offering a bribe of RM4,600 to Cheras Narcotics Investigation Division chief ASP Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal at 8.30pm on Sept 26 last year at the Cheras police headquarters as an inducement not to take action against him for a drug offence.
