PETALING JAYA: The quality of Chinese studies at Universiti Malaya (UM) must be maintained regardless of any name change in the course, said MCA deputy president Datuk Dr Wee Ka Siong.
He was commenting on a news report that the university plans to change the name of the Chinese Studies Department – under the Arts and Social Sciences Faculty - to the Chinese Studies Programme in September.
