PETALING JAYA: A Malaysia Airlines (MAS) flight to London had to be rescheduled on Thursday due to technical difficulties affecting the aircraft.
In a statement, the airline said that flight MH004, which was scheduled to depart for London at 10.10am, was delayed for safety reasons.
"As safety of its passengers is of utmost priority to the airline, this retiming is necessary to facilitate rectification work on the aircraft," the statement said.
The flight was rescheduled to 2.15pm the same day.
Since the disappearance of MH370, there have been a series of mishaps involving aircraft, including an engine fire on a Malindo flight, A MAS flight hitting a flock of ducks in Kathmandu and another MAS flight bound for South Korea which was diverted to Hong Kong after the aircraft’s generator failed.
