KOTA KINABALU: Any discussion about a review of petroleum royalty increase for Sabah should factor in the Federal Government’s “large” financial allocations for the state’s development, said Datuk Seri Musa Aman.
“We need to understand that apart from funds that are channelled in the form of royalty, the Federal Government also has a large allocation for Sabah through various other means, such as under the development budget,” the Sabah Chief Minister said yesterday in response to the requests by the youth wings of state Barisan Nasional component parties for an increase in royalty rates.
