PETALING JAYA: Faulty traffic lights at the Lagoon Perdana intersection caused a gridlock Monday morning along roads leading to and passing through the Sunway area.
Motorists reported stalled traffic at SS17, Persiaran Tujuan, Persiaran Kewajipan and USJ13 in Subang Jaya, and along the Federal Highway and New Pantai Expressway.
Some tweeted that traffic was also backed up along Lebuhraya Damasara Puchong (LDP) from Paradigm Mall in Kelana Jaya to Sunway.
One motorist said it took her about 75 minutes to reach the Sunway Pyramid area from SS19 in Subang Jaya.
Road user Nicholas Ong reported to have been stuck in standstill traffic at Taylors University Lakeside Campus for 20 mins due to the backup of vehicles white Twitter user @amirhazril complained of a three-hour jam from Subang to Sunway.
Other Twitter users also noted heavy traffic in the area.
"It's the worst jam I've ever been in from LRT KJ to Sunway," said @HazwaniAZ.
Twitter user @ganyizhe also reported a traffic jam lasting more than an hour in the area.
"A story about a guy who failed to reach Sunway from Sri Muda after 70 minutes has passed," he said.
"From before Sunway to Taylor's road. Been stuck for almost three hours now," added @MellieAbr.
"I CAN FINALLY SEE SUNWAY," remarked @kevinwcs after reaching the end of the gridlock.
