PETALING JAYA: Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor has expressed her sympathy and condolence to the family members of passengers and crew aboard flight MH370.
“As the wife of the Prime Minister, a mother and a citizen of Malaysia, I would like to express sympathy and extend our sincere condolences to the family members, friends and acquaintances of all passengers and crew of flight MH370,” she said in a statement.
“I pray that Allah will grant strength and perseverance to the families in facing this formidable challenge.”
Rosmah reminded the family members and friends to immortalise the cherished memories of their loved ones in their mind, and keep them in their thoughts forever.
“It is clear that in moments like these, the whole of Malaysia also grieves and expresses sympathy for this heartbreaking tragedy,” she said. “Such feelings prove that we as Malaysians always unite in facing any calamities that befall our country.”
Rosmah said this sympathy was shared by people the world over, adding that she had received several phone calls from the wives of premiers of other countries that attest to this.
“I would like to thank them for their concern as this proves that Malaysia has many friends in these trying times.”
“Together, let’s pray that their souls are in a state of calm,” she said.
