PETALING JAYA: A Japan Coast Guard aircraft carrying a 10-member Japan Disaster Relief (JDR) team took off from the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Subang near here today to join the search for a Malaysian airliner that is believed to have gone down in the southern Indian Ocean.

The Japan Coast Guard Gulfstream V aircraft, carrying the second batch of JDR team members, departed at about 10am and is expected to land at the Pearce Airbase in Perth, Australia, at about 4pm on Wednesday.
