SEPANG: More foreign ships and aircraft are making their way to the south west of Australia to join in the search for MH370.
On Thursday, Australian authorities said they sighted two objects some 2500km off the coast of Perth which could be that of the missing Malaysia Airlines plane which vanished after taking off from KL International Airport on March 8.
Acting Transport Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Huessin said apart from the Australian ship, HMAS Success, which has already arrived at the search area, China has deployed five ships and three ship-borne helicopters, which are currently heading toward the southern corridor.
Three Chinese aircraft (2 Ilyushin IL-76s and 1 Shaanxi Y-8) arrived in Malaysia at 11am on Friday. They will also be searching in the southern corridor.
Hishammuddin said Japan has deployed its assets to Perth including two P-3 Orions, to assist with the search efforts.
The British ship HMS Echo is already heading towards the southern Indian Ocean to support the search effort.
He said as of 5.40pm Friday there were no positive news to be delivered to the families of passengers of MH370 worldwide.
