More passes for SPM history


PUTRAJAYA, 20 Mac -- Ketua Pengarah Pelajaran, Datuk Dr Khair Mohamad Yusof menunjukkan laporan pengumuman analisis keputusan Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) tahun 2013 pada sidang media pengumuman keputusan itu di Kementerian Pendidikan di sini hari ini. PUTRAJAYA: Students performed significantly better in SPM History which was made a compulsory pass subject from last year.The percentage of candidates who passed History in 2013 increased by 6.3%, up from 80.3% in 2012 to 86.6%. Despite the better performance, the must-pass ruling contributed to a higher percentage of candidates not obtaining SPM certificates.

Education director-general Datuk Dr Khair Mohamad Yusof (pic) said the percentage of candidates who were able to obtain SPM certificates fell from 91.2% in 2012 to 85.5% last year.
