Father speaks fondly of aviation engineer on board missing flight MH370

SEPANG: His eyes were bloodshot, probably from lack of sleep, but he smiled every now and then as he spoke of his son Khairul Omar, an aviation engineer attached to an Australian company.

“He and I have always been very close, and he always consulted me before making any big decision in his life,” Omar Selamat said at the hotel where he and other relatives of the passengers and crew of the missing Malaysia Airlines MH370 are staying.
