Missing MH370: Probe refocusing on crew and passengers

SEPANG: Malaysian authorities have refocused their investigation into the crew and passengers on board flight MH370 that went missing since Mar 8.

Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak told a press conference that in view of the latest development, the authorities would investigate all possibilities as to what caused the plane to deviate from its original Beijing-bound path.

MH370 took off from KLIA at 12.41am on Mar 8 with 239 crew and passengers on board.

Najib said up until the point at which the plane left military primary radar coverage, its movements are consistent with deliberate action by someone on the plane.

He said that in view of the latest development the Malaysian authorities have refocused their investigation into the crew and passengers on board.

"Despite media reports that the plane was hijacked, I wish to be very clear: we are still investigating all possibilities as to what caused MH370 to deviate from its original flight path," he said.
