SEPANG: Malaysia is satisfied with the cooperation from Boeing and Rolls Royce in the investigation of Flight MH370.
Acting Transport Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein said the authorities believed both companies had provided all the information related to the aircraft.
As such, he said, there was no question of lack of transparency as far as both companies were concerned.
"I don't think we need to put pressure on them. We have been working with them since the beginning," he told a press conference here.
Hishammuddin was asked on the apparent lack of commitment from the airplane manufacturer and engine supplier in helping Malaysian authorities in the incident.
Both companies came into the bigger picture after a media report said that engine data showed that MH370 had kept flying for hours after the last contact at 1.07am on Saturday.
Both companies had dismissed the report.
Rolls Royce released a statement saying they continue to provide its fullest support to the authorities and Malaysia Airlines.
Hishammuddin also revealed that the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) and the National Transport Safety Board (NTSB) confirmed that the search and rescue operation was right to focus on the Strait of Malacca and South China Sea.
"They confirmed after looking at our raw data, including the military data.
"We have also extended the operation to include the Andaman sea," he said.
