KAJANG: The people must be wary of the Opposition's tactics to organise more "Kajang Move," which Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin regards as a waste of time.

The Barisan Nasional deputy chairman said this would be part of the oppositon's plan to discredit the government.

"I urge you not to let them waste your time to go to the ballot boxes when there is no need for that.

"But let me assure you that should there be a vacancy because an elected representative from the Opposition has resigned for no concrete reason, we in Barisan will certainly put up a fight to ensure they will lose miserably," he said at a meet-the-people session in Taman Kota Cheras on Thursday night.

Muhyiddin was referring to a statement made by PKR strategic director Rafizi Ramli on the possibility of having more "Kajang Move".

In urging Kajang folks to support Barisan candidate Datin Paduka Chew Mei Fun, Muhyiddin assured the people that they would not lose out if they vote her in on March 23.

"She may be an Opposition wakil rakyat in a Pakatan Rakyat-led Selangor government but let me remind you that she has special relations with the federal government that has more ability to assist you.

"If she is your elected representative, Chew will have access to Barisan leaders who can help solve your woes.

"Furthermore, she can concentrate on serving the people full time and will not be plagued with family problems," he said in reference PKR's candidate Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail whose husband Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim may be jailed should the appeal for his sodomy case in Federal Court fails.

Anwar lost his eligibility to contest after the Court of Appeal overturned his acquittal for sodomy charges and sentenced him to five years jail.

Chew pledged that she would not disappoint Kajang folks should she be elected.

"Be rest assured that you will have access to me at all times and I will be at my service centre two days in a week to help solve your problems," she said.
