KUALA LUMPUR: Air quality in both Muar, Johor and Port Klang, Selangor remained in the unhealthy range, with the latter’s air quality worsening further as of 4pm yesterday.
According to the Department of Environment’s website, both Muar and Klang registered Air Pollutant Index (API) readings of 111 and 114 respectively.
Good API readings were recorded in 21 areas while moderate levels were seen in 28 areas.
API readings up to 50 are categorised as good, while readings from 51 to 100, 101 to 200, 201 to 300, and above 300 are considered moderate, unhealthy, very unhealthy, and dangerous respectively.
