Toddler and baby critical after abuse


IPOH: A two-year-old girl from Hutan Melintang, about 116km from here, has gone into a coma while a four-month-old girl here has been admitted into intensive care after suffering from what doctors called “shaken baby syndrome”. Both are alleged victims of child abuse.

Hilir Perak district police chief Asst Commisioner Goh Kok Liang said the 20-year-old mother of little Nur Ain Ariana Abdullah had rushed the toddler to the Sabak Bernam Hospital from their home in Kampung Seri Perkasa, Hutan Melintang, at about 5pm on Monday.
