JOHOR BARU: The state Welfare Department is currently acquiring the necessary information on all 49 children, who were under the care of the childcare centre where children were allegedly sexually and physically abused, for possible counselling sessions.
Johor Welfare Department acting director Datuk Daud Arbah said that although the centre was not registered with the department, welfare officers would step in to help and monitor the children.
