JOHOR BARU: It was a short-lived joy for a group of robbers when police foiled their attempt to hijack a container carrying copper bars worth RM1mil.
Johor police chief Senior Deputy Comm Datuk Mohd Mokhtar Mohd Shariff said police had received a call from a factory owner in Pasir Gudang that a container laden with 12 tonnes of copper was hijacked after leaving the factory at 2.42pm on Feb 24.
