A 16-YEAR-OLD Malacca boy who was diagnosed with end-stage Caroli disease successfully underwent a liver transplant operation at the National University Hospital of Singapore, major Chinese dailies reported.
Teng Cyun Shen received the liver from a stranger, Lai Mei Yi, 27, from Ipoh, Perak, who learned about Teng’s plight through the media last year, Sin Chew Daily reported.
