BENTONG: With the fatal bus crash in August last year still fresh in the minds of many, authorities are taking extra precautions to ensure commercial vehicles going up Genting Highlands are safe and roadworthy.
A total of 156 officers from the police, Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD), the Computerised Vehicle Inspection Centre (Puspakom), the Road Transport Department (JPJ) and the National Anti-Drug Agency (AADK) were involved in a two-day operation against commercial vehicles, code-named Ops Bersama.
