JELI: Residents of Kampung Bukit Perawas and Kampung Bukit Wakaf Zain are living in fear after a rogue elephant caused the death of a four-year-old boy and injured at least two villagers over the past few days.
Smallholders with rubber, coconut and fruit trees at these villages near the Kelantan-Thai border have stayed indoors since Saturday to avoid encountering the pachyderm, whom locals dubbed Mek Siam.
