PUTRAJAYA: An estimated RM250,000 was lost in a fire that gutted the store room of a Petronas Mesra Store at Precinct 9 here.
Putrajaya Fire and Rescue Department chief Muhammad Hafidz Yaacob said 20 firefighters and two fire engines were dispatched to the scene after a distress call was received at 9.34am yesterday.
“The first batch of responders arrived at the scene three minutes later. We managed to quell the flames by 10.33am,” he said, adding that the fire was extinguished by 10.41am.
He said a forensics team would be at the scene in the evening to conduct further investigations into the incident.
No one was hurt in the incident.
