KUCHING: Former Agriculture Minister Datuk Seri Effendi Norwawi has poured cold water on intense speculation that he could contest in Balingian if Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud vacates the seat.
Responding to reports in several news portals and newspapers, he said he was neither interested nor had any intention to be a candidate in Balingian.
