KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB) will not give rebates to consumers as “compensation” for the recent state-wide blackout and confirmed that new electricity tariffs are in effect.
Managing director Abdul Razak Sallim said SESB was also a victim of the blackout, which was triggered by a sudden shutdown of generators of an independent power producer (IPP) at Teluk Salut in Sepanggar here on Jan 15.
