New Socso rule easier for sole heirs

PETALING JAYA: Over 50,000 sole recipients of Socso’s survivors’ pension and dependants’ benefit schemes no longer need to submit an annual declaration to prove their continued eligibility.

Socso’s operations division general manager (benefits section) Ismail Abi Hashim said this applied to widows or widowers, fathers or mothers and grandfathers or grandmothers who were sole recipients.
