Minister upset on hearing plight of old folk

PETALING JAYA: The plight of the five old folk who were left abandoned in a former home has left Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Rohani Abdul Karim with a bitter taste in her mouth.

“I’m quite upset. There are many societies being formed to look after the needy but there are still many that are not registered and known to the ministry,” said Rohani, who has ordered Welfare Department officers to investigate the case immediately.
