BATU PAHAT: Johor DAP must stay united if the party wants to play a pivotal role in taking over the state from Barisan Nasional in the 14th general election.
State party chairman Dr Boo Cheng Hau (pic) reminded DAP assemblymen to always work for the rakyat and to not take lightly their victory in the last GE.
"Victory can lead to crisis and we must not be in such situation," he said during the DAP state-level convention held here.
Dr Boo also apologised to all state party members for making an about-turn in his decision on defending his post.
"I have been the state party chairman since 2005, and I've worked hard together with other Opposition leaders to ensure Pakatan is able to penetrate the state, which has long been identified as Barisan fortress.
"In the last GE, Pakatan especially DAP, has proven the doubters wrong by winning several state and parliamentary seats in Johor," he said.
