SEREMBAN: A Form Five student and her cousin were killed when they were thrown out of their car when it skidded and crashed at the Port Dickson-Seremban Expressway early Sunday.
Student Norhayatul Aswad, 17, and Amirul Asyraf Amin, 19, died on the spot in the 2.40am crash.
According to a police spokesman, five people were in the car which was driven by Amirul's mother.
The other two passengers in the car were Norhayatul's younger sibling and Amirul Asyraf's younger sibling.
"They were from Port Dickson and were returning home to Kampung Talang, Tanjung Ipoh, Kuala Pilah," he told Bernama.
He said the accident occurred when the car driver lost control of the wheel, causing the vehicle to skid and crashed into the road divider.
The impact caused Amirul and Norhayatul to be thrown out of the car, he added.
The car driver and the other two passengers were slightly injured and were treated at the Tuanku Ja'afar Hospital, where the bodies of Amirul and Norhayatul were also sent for post mortem. - Bernama
