PASIR GUDANG: A pregnant housewife is pleading for her missing husband to return home as she had not heard from him for over a week.
Four-months pregnant wife Athikah Abdul Kadir, 30, said that she last spoke with her husband Abdul Razak Kamaruddin, 38, last Friday (Dec 27) at about 12.30 and has not heard from him since.
"He told me that he was going to enter Singapore to collect his pay and was due to arrive his hometown in Kedah the next morning but did not show up," she told reporters when met at Permas Jaya here on Thursday.
Athikah, who could not hold back her tears, said that she was in Kedah with her three children for her brother-in-law's wedding and her husband was supposed to join them but did not turn up.
She said that she has lodged police reports at both Malaysia and Singapore police stations as she was unable to contact her husband.
"Upon checks from the Immigration Department, it was confirmed that my husband crossed the border with his friends but did not return to Malaysia," she added in between sobs.
Athikah said that it was unlike Abdul Razak to go missing for a week as he often called to check on her and the kids especially since she is expecting.
"My children keep asking for their father but I cannot give them a straight answer on where their father is and when he will return home," she said.
