IPOH: A driver crashed into four cars before driving into the Jelapang police station to escape from his chasers.
Ipoh OCPD Asst Comm Sum Chang Keong said the man, 34, alighted from Perodua Viva and ran into the police station with a parang in hand on Friday at about 3pm.
"The man was trying to flee from car repossesors after failing to pay off a six-month debt.
"He rammed into four cars while on his way to the police station, prompting the drivers to chase him," he told journalists here on Tuesday.
"While in the police station, he had a parang in his hand trying to defend himself against his chasers," he said.
ACP Sum said the man also had a stash of weapons in his Viva and one previous conviction.
ACP Sum said the man, from Bota, Perak Tengah, also had a stash of weapons in his Viva and he had one previous conviction for voluntarily causing grievous hurt with dangerous weapons.
He said the man was later arrested and charged for possession of weapons, making threats and to causing hurt.
