He said the men, one of whom was masked and both were armed with knives, pounced on Liwan Lagang, the assistant minister of culture and heritage, as he was alighting from the vehicle to buy a newspaper at 6.10 am on Monday.
The trio were involved in a struggle and Liwan was injured in the right thigh and right knee, he said.
