KUALA LUMPUR: The Malacca state government has agreed to buy raw water from Johor at 50 sen per 1,000 gallons backdated to Aug 11 compared to 40 sen earlier, for a period of five years.
At the start of the agreement in 1993, Malacca paid 20 sen per 1,000 gallons of water to Johor, rising to 30 sen in 1998 and 40 sen in 2008 until it was renewed Thursday.
