CAROL Chu, the Malaysian wife of Hong Kong superstar Andy Lau (pic), is not pregnant but he hopes that she will be soon, Sin Chew Daily reported.
During a promotional tour in Kuala Lumpur for his latest movie Firestorm on Tuesday, Lau responded to the media that he had repeatedly said his wife was not pregnant and hoped that she would be soon with their second child.
He also told reporters that “there is nothing he can’t answer” before spontaneously replying to questions regarding his family life.
He also said he did not have plans to visit Malaysia with his wife and daughter during Chinese New Year next year.
> Nanyang Siang Pau reported that a woman in Beijing pretended to fall when a foreign tourist rode past her on a motorcycle in a street.
The tourist immediately went to help her up but the woman kicked up a fuss and said she was paralysed.
It was reported that the tourist was scared to tears as the woman insisted that he pay her compensation. She held him so tightly that his clothes tore.
Police who arrived at the scene sent both to a nearby hospital where doctors and X-ray results confirmed that the woman was not injured.
But the relentless woman continued to fake paralysis and the tourist had to fork out 1,800 yuan (RM951) as “medical expenses” before she let him leave the hospital.
