Man found hanged in playground

PETALING JAYA: A failed business venture allegedly drove a 60-year-old man to commit suicide at a playground in Subang Jaya yesterday morning.

It is learnt that a resident of the neighbourhood lodged a police report after discovering the body at about 6.30am.

The man, clad in blue-coloured pants and t-shirt, was found hanged from a gazebo in the playground.

“His body has been sent to the Serdang Hospital for a post-mortem,” said Subang Jaya OCPD ACP Yahaya Ramli.

It is believed the man was under stress after his agriculture business in Cameron Highlands failed.

His wife was away in Johor at the time.
