TWO boys who ate a durian placed at an orchard to lure wild boars were admitted to the Parit Buntar Hospital after suffering throat irritation and falling unconscious.
Malaysia Nanban reported that the duo were among five boys who went hiking in Sungei Kechil, Seberang Perai Utara, on Thursday.
The orchard owner asked the boys about the missing durian and was told that two of them had eaten it.
The owner told them the fruit had been laced with harmful chemicals to lure the wild boars which had been damaging his orchard.
Jothilingam’s auto-rickshaw was stopped after transport department officials acted on a complaint that he was overcharging commuters.
They impounded the rickshaw when they found that he neither used the meter nor possessed original documents for the vehicle.

Frustrated, he became drunk and climbed the tower. Passers-by alerted police, who got him down.
