KUALA LUMPUR: Residents’ Associations (RAs) here say the proposed new property assessment rates of up to 300% for Kuala Lumpur houseowners is unacceptable although they agree that an increase has been long overdue.
Brickfields Rukun Tetangga president R.K.K. Naidu said Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) and Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan were right in point when they cited increasing costs as a reason to increase the property assessment rates.
