Semporna kidnap: Taiwanese minister says ransom call received from Phillipines


PETALING JAYA: Taiwan’s Minister of the Interior Lee Hong-yuan has revealed that his government received a phone call from the Philippines about a possible ransom demand for the Taiwanese tourist who was abducted at the Pom Pom Island resort in Sabah.

Lee did not divulge much more to Taiwanese journalists after a Legislative Yuan's (Taiwanese national legislative assembly) home affairs committee meeting in Taipei on Wednesday.
