PUTRAJAYA: The ruling that requires fishermen to use nets with a minimum mesh size of 38mm stays despite protests by fishermen in three states, says Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
He said the requirement, which had been in existence since 1985, was to protect marine resources.
