PUTRAJAYA: The Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah has called on his subjects to preserve unity and to avoid acts that would strain the diversity that is celebrated in Malaysia.

In delivering his speech at the Maal Hijrah celebration at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre here yesterday, Tuanku Abdul Halim said there were certain parties who stirred up sensitive issues and slogans despite being aware of the importance of peace and harmony in the country.
