SERDANG: A college student was killed after the car he was travelling in rammed a road divider along the Damansara-Puchong Highway (LDP) here early Tuesday.
The incident occurred around 7.30am when 22-year-old P. Parathiban and two others were travelling from Puchong to Putrajaya.
The driver lost control of the car near KM24.7 and rammed the divider.
Parathiban, who was the passenger in front, suffered severe head and body injuries, and died on the spot.
The impact of the crash also left the second passenger severely injured while the driver suffered minor injuries.
Serdang OCPD Asst Comm Abdul Razak Elias confirmed the case, adding that the deceased and two passengers were taken to the Serdang Hospital.
"We have classified the case as reckless driving under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987," he said.
