PETALING JAYA: Traffic was heavy on major highways heading out of Kuala Lumpur as commuters took advantage of the long weekend break due to the Deepavali and Awal Muharram public holidays.
According to tweets from PLUS Saturday afternoon, traffic was slow from Kajang, Bangi, Putra Mahkora and Nilai heading towards Seremban.
Other roads experiencing slow traffic were highways heading North from Slim River to Sungkai and Sg. Buloh to Rawang.
On the opposite side of the highway heading south, cars were also moving at a snail’s pace entering the Sungai Besi toll plaza.
An earlier accident at 10.30am along KM 296.6 heading south from Kajang to Bangi caused a crawl heading south from Kajang to Bangi.
Another accident at 10.30am along KM237.6 caused a build-up from Kuala Kangsar to Changkat Jering.
PLUS has advised all road users to follow its travel advisory times, at its website.
