Court denies bid to file appeal Mum cries foul over decision to strike off application in stewardess’ case


GEORGE TOWN: A High Court here has struck out an application by the prosecution for more time to file an appeal against a magistrate’s court decision to only fine an engineer RM7,000 for careless and inconsiderate driving that resulted in the death of an air stewardess.

Judicial Commissioner Wong Teck Meng yesterday struck off Deputy Public Prosecutor Mohd Faisal Md Nor’s application in the case of stewardess Ng Sweet Yuin, who was killed in a road accident three years ago.
