ALOR SETAR: PAS Jerai Youth chief Mohd Azam Abdul Samat has been named as the party’s candidate for the Sungai Limau by-election on Monday.
Mohd Azam, 37, from Taman Markisa in Guar Chempedak here, is said to be a ‘political disciple’ of former Sungai Limau assemblyman, the late Tan Sri Azizan Abdul Razak.
The announcement of Mohd Azam as candidate was made by PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang here last night.
Also attending the event at the PAS election centre in Sungai Limau here were DAP advisor Lim Kit Siang and PKR deputy president Azmin Ali.
