Umno polls: Mukhriz demands news portal retract money politics accusation or face legal suit

JITRA: Kedah Mentri Besar Datuk Mukhriz Mahathir has demanded an online news portal retract an article which accused him of money politics.

The Umno vice-president contender gave the online news portal until 10am Saturday to remove the article, or he will proceed with legal action.

Mukhriz said the report was an attempt to smear his image, and denied it was true.

"The report was published with malicious intent, and attempts to destroy my reputation among Umno delegates," he told reporters  at SM Sains Kubang Pasu here.
