KUALA LUMPUR: A motorcycle ride for two lovers ended in tragedy when a KLIA auxiliary police officer and his girlfriend were killed in a collision with a lorry in Kampung Pandan.
According to traffic police staff officer Deputy Superintendent Abdullah Roning, Muhammad Azraf Noor Azmi, 24 and Nurmadiha Rohami, 22 were travelling along KM1.4 of the MAX Highway towards Salak Jaya when they were hit by a lorry on Thursday.
Both victims were killed on the spot. Initial investigations revealed that they were riding against the traffic at the roundabout.
"There were two other motorcycle riders with them at the time but they have since disappeared after the accident," he said.
DSP Abdullah said their bodies have been taken to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital for post-mortem.
