MALACCA: Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Idris Haron said the state government has introduced a new sand mining policy in an effort to protect the ecosystem and the environment.
Under the new policy, a company wishing to get approval for sand mining should get approval of the Minerals and Geoscience Department, Environment Department, Land and Mines Department and comments from the state assemblyman.
